About Steve Bestolarides

Steve Bestolarides was born and raised in San Joaquin County.

The son of Greek immigrants, he earned his baccalaureate degree in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific and later went on to complete his Masters in Finance.

Appointed to the Stockton Planning Commission in 1993, Steve served two terms as commissioner and was twice selected Chairman.

First elected to the Stockton City Council in 2002, Steve has established a record on the council as an independent decision maker, known for asking the tough fiscal questions.

As the City of Stockton’s representative on the San Joaquin Council of Governments, Steve has worked with area leaders to find solutions to our county’s traffic problems.

Steve and his wife, Doreen have been married for 22 years. They have two sons, Danny and Paul.
